Liliya Ianovskaia has confirmed she will attempt Kangchenjunga (8,586 m) in spring 2023 — her first attempt on the world's third-highest peak.

Kangchenjunga, on the Nepal–Sikkim border, is widely considered one of the most committing of the fourteen eight-thousanders: high, technically complex, and known for narrow summit windows.

Update — the 2023 attempt ended 300 vertical metres below the summit when the rope team took the wrong couloir; a second attempt was not possible that season. Liliya returned in 2026 and summited Kangchenjunga on May 23, 2026.
